Healthy Diet for July 11 – Park Here ⋆ Healthy Diet ⋆ Lifestyle

Day walks, night walks, bird watching, horseback riding, canoeing, white-water rafting, and more—local, state, and national parks have plenty going on. Take advantage of events geared to keep you moving.

Enjoy all that parks have to offer during Recreation and Parks Month and at every season of the year.

  • Take your picnic on a hike. Why spend the afternoon sitting at the picnic grounds near the parking lot?
  • Check the park calendar. Sign up for a scheduled nature walk with the conservationist or an archeological walk in a historical park.
  • Sign up as a park volunteer. Tasks you do are often physically active.
  • Walk trails, beaches, and riverbanks for cleanup—great way to teach environmental responsibility to kids.
