Today health experts understand that there is no perfect size, shape, or weight. What’s really important is being healthy with the body that’s yours. Make a plan to right-size yourself for fitness.

  • Set a date for a physical checkup.
  • Monitor your health numbers: cholesterol, trigylcerides, blood pressure, blood sugar level. Keep them within a healthy range.
  • Find a way—your way—to be physically active each day.
  • Learn to control your portions. If you tend to overeat, perhaps keep food out of sight so it’s out of mind.
  • Eat for variety: perhaps more fruits, vegetables, and whole-grain foods; enough dairy and protein-rich foods; fewer high-calorie, high-fat foods.
  • Make your weight goal realistic and healthy—for you!
